Where I live, the trees do not lose their leaves. Except we have a Tabebuia tree that loses all of its leave at once, and then gets completely covered in yellow blossoms. It's real pretty.
It looks like a pollarded tree to me. Check here for an example. Any type of tree can be pruned that way, but it's more common in the UK and Europe than North America.

You make a great snow angel! Sorry, I can't help you with the tree...
I don't know what type of tree that is but I love the snow angel!
Looks like you a great time!! Can't help with the tree.
just looking at the bark I'd guess some kind of oak, but I've never seen an oak that had nekkid branches like that.
And I already knew you were an angel. You didn't have to freeze your butt off to prove that.
I love the snow angel! My boyfriend who lives in London recently made one for me ... I just love it since we don't get snow here in San Diego!
Thanks for dropping by. Come back again!
Happy WW! Sweet Surprise http://tinyurl.com/dfgrrq
Your snow angel came out perfectly!

I never did a snow angel ! It's a shame. Probably there was never enough snow. I don't know what kind of tree it is, it looks funny, like a punk !
That does look cold!
Sorry, don't know what kind of tree that is, especially without it's foliage.

oh I haven't done one of those since ... well never. I'll have to do one next year. Looks like you are enjoying it. :) Happy WW!
